On October 10th, the College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs (CAPPA) at UTA, in partnership with Vision North Texas, proudly launched its milestone year with the CAPPA 10 Kickoff Summit. This special event marked a decade of innovation, collaboration, and impact in shaping the future of North Texas.

This summit also kicked off a year-long series of events designed to engage the current CAPPA community and reconnect with alumni. Upcoming highlights include the CAPPA 10 & Vision North Texas Workshops, the CAPPA Career Fair, and the CAPPA Research & Creative Works Symposium.

Each event reflects CAPPA’s commitment to shaping a future full of possibilities through regional collaboration and academic excellence.

Vision North Texas, an award-winning partnership of private, public, and academic organizations, has long served as a forum for addressing regional growth while enhancing economic vitality, quality of life, and long-term sustainability across the 16-county North Central Texas region. It increased public awareness of important regional land-use issues affecting mobility, air quality, water supply, and other economic and environmental resources.

Beginning in early 2026, the Vision North Texas Workshop Series will deepen this engagement, fostering cross-sector collaboration to address the region’s evolving challenges.
